Gateway Festival, Bengough
Each year, on the last weekend of July, the tiny town of Bengough swells from its population of 332 to a crowd of thousands, thanks to this popular music festival. What began as a community fundraiser 18 years ago is now a rockin’ event with music on three stages showcasing Canadian headliners such as Serena Ryder, Sloan, Emerson Drive and Big Sugar. Yes, it’s popular, but the Gateway Festival still prides itself on being a community-focused event with local food trucks, artisans, a car show and activities geared to the kids.

La Roche Percee Provincial Historic Site
Make a pit stop to explore the ins and outs of this rocky attraction just a 20-minute drive east of Estevan, which is about two hours southeast of Regina. The rock formations at the three-acre site feature unusual shapes formed by years of water and wind erosion. The rocks were once marked with symbolic animal carvings by Indigenous peoples and, later, autographs of early European settlers and the North-West Mounted Police. Sounds like a road trip! Don’t forget your CAA Membership card. It’s a good idea to log in to your MyAccount to manage and renew your membership — ensure auto-renew is activated and update your credit card number and email address.
