Raccolto is the love child of Rusty and Kirsty Thienes, the husband-and-wife duo who created Harvest Eatery in Shaunavon. Inspired by a vacation in Italy, the menu features ingredients that thrive in both Tuscany and Saskatchewan, including durum, chickpeas, lentils, beef, pork, chicken and wild game. Favourites include the braised short rib and their house-made meatballs.

Glitchy’s Oddities Museum bills itself as “an oasis of weirdness in the Prairies!” The collection is inspired by dime store museums of old, before the Internet took over as the arbiter of strange. Expect to see the world’s largest Cheezie, displayed behind glass, and a variety of freakish items that may or may not be real — that’s up to you to decide. Note that some folks (and small children) might find some of the items disturbing, but it’s all in good fun. If that sounds intriguing, then a road trip from Regina to Saskatoon is definitely in order — and here are a few other fun things to do along the way.
